Terms of Service

Welcome to Southern Africa Roadtrippers! We are thrilled you have chosen us to build your dream motorhome box. Please carefully review the following terms and conditions before proceeding with your order. By submitting your build order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1 – Website prices and products: important information

  • prices and availability: The prices and products displayed on our website are subject to change and availability. We encourage you to contact us for confirmation of current pricing and product availability before placing an order.
  • standard builds: All builds showcased on our website are outlined as our suggested, standard builds. These builds are designed for optimal functionality and efficiency, and we are unable to modify their individual components.

Customization

While we offer a variety of optional products to personalize your standard build, any additional customization to the layout itself will not be undertaken by us. This includes modifications such as altering wall locations, window placements, or cabinetry configurations.

  • additional products: Any additional products added to your chosen standard build will increase the total cost of your project. We offer a variety of optional products to enhance your motorhome box, but please note that these will be priced separately.
  • custom layouts: Unfortunately, we do not provide support or work on custom build layouts outside our standard layouts as listed on the website. This is because we have optimized our standard layouts for both functionality and efficient construction.

We believe our standard builds offer an excellent balance of functionality, value, and quality. We encourage you to explore our website and contact us to discuss your specific needs and find the perfect standard build for your adventure.

2 – Delivery and collection

  • Client Responsibility: Clients are responsible for delivering their vehicle to our workshop and collecting it upon completion. We will not arrange or cover any transportation costs.
  • Preparation Requirements: Vehicles must be delivered in clean and operable condition, with all necessary paperwork and documentation available for inspection.
  • Collection Procedure: Builds that have not been paid for in full cannot be collected. Your vehicle may only be collected once payment has cleared on our side. Clients must schedule a pickup appointment in advance.

3 – Build progress viewings

  • Appointment Required: Viewings of your build progress must be scheduled in advance. We cannot accommodate drop-in visits.
  • Time Commitment: Viewings are limited to a maximum of 30 minutes.
  • Build Stage Requirements: To ensure efficient workflow and minimize disruption, we offer scheduled viewings of your motorhome box build at designated stages of progress. We will notify you when your build reaches a point suitable for inspection and arrange a convenient time for your visit. This approach allows us to focus on building while providing valuable opportunities to review your project. Due to our busy schedule and the multiple builds in progress, we kindly request that you limit your visits to the scheduled appointments. This helps us maintain a productive environment while ensuring everyone receives dedicated attention.

4 – Modifications and changes

  • Pre-Approval Required: All modifications or changes to the agreed-upon design must be submitted in writing, approved, and paid for before work begins.
  • Additional Costs: Modifications or changes may incur additional charges. These charges will be confirmed in writing before work starts.
  • Time Delays: Modifications or changes will affect the timeline for completion.

5 – Payment and cancellation

  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your build slot. The deposit amount is [Percentage]% of the total project cost.
  • Payment Schedule: The remaining balance is due in installments as per the agreed-upon payment schedule.
  • Cancellation: Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations within [Number] days of the scheduled build start date will forfeit the deposit. Cancellations after the build start date will incur additional charges based on work completed.

6 – Warranties and Guarantees

  • Materials and Workmanship: [Company Name] warrants all materials and workmanship for a period of [Number] years from the date of completion.
  • Wear and Tear:  While we stand behind the quality of our builds, this warranty does not cover damage resulting from excessive or inappropriate use. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Off-road use beyond the intended capabilities of your build: Our motorhome boxes are designed for light off-road travel on well-maintained roads and trails. Attempting challenging maneuvers such as steep rocky inclines, deep water crossings, or driving through dense vegetation can place excessive strain on the vehicle and components, leading to damage not covered by the warranty.
    • Modifications done outside of SA Roadtrippers: Any alterations or changes to your build not explicitly authorized by us can void the warranty and render you ineligible for coverage.
    • Improper use: Failure to follow our advised methods of use can lead to damage to the interior build.
  • Warranty Claim Procedure: All warranty claims must be submitted in writing and accompanied by supporting documentation.

7 – Liability

  • Client Responsibility: Clients are responsible for ensuring their vehicle meets all legal requirements for roadworthiness and registration.
  • Company Liability: Southern Africa Roadtrippers is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages that occur while the vehicle is in the client’s possession.
